SVS Logistic portal for clients and couriers

The frontend portal integrates with a 1C backend (backend is a separate case). The product and UX/IA were designed from scratch.

Customer: logistics company with client and courier workflows.

Role: full-cycle frontend development + product elaboration of scenarios.

Task: design the portal structure and interfaces for real operations.

The client came with general design wishes and no detailed specification. We needed to design the portal structure and scenarios for real operations of clients, couriers, and the warehouse.

Problems the client faced

  • Fragmented processes for waybills and deliveries without a unified portal.
  • No transparent parcel statuses for clients and couriers.
  • Hard to quickly create typical shipments and avoid address errors.
  • A lot of manual work in the warehouse and when creating manifests.
  • Documents and printed forms are required without a manager's involvement.

Our solution

Modular structure: waybills, manifests, warehouse, documents, tariffs, tracking.

Focus on speed: templates, auto-fill, quick actions, scanning and printing.

Unified portal for clients, couriers, and warehouse with role-based access.

Key functionality

Waybill creation: templates, weight/volume calculation, tariff, insurance, additional waybills.

Manifests: selecting waybills, barcode/QR scanning, warehouse intake, CSV export.

Warehouse and tasks: assigned waybills, grouping by address and time, filters.

Tariffs and tracking: cost calculation, waybill creation, public tracking.

Documents: invoices, acts, VAT invoices in PDF, links to waybills.

Waybills: list, filters, statuses, card, history, quick actions.

UX and architecture

Role-based access and permissions-driven content (client, courier, warehouse, manager).

Two UI modes: desktop with top navigation and mobile with bottom bar.

Built-in printing for waybills and labels, fast export.

PWA approach: service worker, session and state preservation.

Technologies

  • React + TypeScript, Redux Toolkit + Persist, React Router
  • Ant Design, LESS
  • QR/Barcode scanning, react-to-print, CSV export
  • Webpack, service worker (Workbox)

Business outcome

  • Single control point for deliveries and documents.
  • Reduced manual operations and errors in addresses and documents.
  • Faster cycle “create → delivery → closing documents”.
  • Transparent statuses for clients and couriers.
